An Overview First, we should stress that an intervention can save the addict, or can drive them deeper into denial and addiction. It is important that you consult a professional to help stage the intervention, and make sure that you are prepared to handle the addict properly. An intervention is sometimes the last resort to saving an addict or alcoholic from their own self-destructive behavior.
