A Letter from Mike Nielsen, Director Surf City Drug Rehabilitation 
Thank you for caring enough to learn about the dynamics of
substance abuse intervention and how the disease of addiction
affects everyone involved. My name is Mike Nielsen, and I am a professional interventionist. Years of experience with working in the chemical dependency field as an Executive Director for a private residential substance abuse treatment center, and being in recovery myself, have shown how serious a situation is when a loved one is addicted to and abusing drugs or alcohol. I have performed hundreds of interventions with a high success rate of admittance into treatment. The method I have learned over the years consists of administering a simple and loving approach to intervening with the person suffering from the disease of addiction and alcoholism. This "easier, softer way" of intervention gives hope and guidance to the addict and alcoholic in which he or she can make a smooth transition into an appropriate treatment program. Since I truly love what I do in life, my services for family, elderly, adolescent or corporate intervention are very affordable and handled professionally with love and respect to the family of and to the person that still suffers from the disease of drug addiction and alcoholism. We are here as a third party to put the family back together. If an intervention can be done within the first few days of a problem, more problems can be prevented.
